Join us to make music and have a blast with friends.

Jam Band 101 Music Camp For Kids

Our Jam Band 101 Camp is great for kids who want to explore different instruments and learn music through playing games with a group.

Students will:

  • Have fun making music with other kids – we keep the class sizes small!
  • Get outside! We go the park every day the weather allows.
  • Get Creative – Kids explore each of the instruments in a band while writing their own music.
  • Perform! We’ll have a little performance on the last day.

Jam Band 101 is for students ages 6-10 (dates shown below).

Our Summer Music Camps Are Good For The Kids AND Their Parents

Ages 6-10 – The Right Age To Cultivate a Love For Music

Private lessons and classes are incredibly important. They impart musical skills, teach discipline, and provide a framework for independent practice. But if a child doesn’t enjoy music or the social aspect of it, they won’t have any motivation to practice on their own! The pre-teen years are a common drop-off point for music learning, as kids find that they want to spend time with friends, pursue sports or other extracurricular activities, or don’t see the value in music in general. That’s why these camps are so important. They fall before those teenage years, and they show young students that music is fun, social, and that the practice they do at home allows them to have more rewarding experiences in a band or ensemble setting.

It’s a Wholesome Way To Give Parents Some “Time Off”

Summers can be challenging for parents, and there may be tension at home for the kids if there aren’t enough structured activities. But who creates a structured list of activities? The parents do. And that’s more work for them.

Give yourself a break, and let us handle the structure for a week during the summer. Our camps are educational, supervised and taught by experienced professionals, and amazingly fun. Your child will love showing you the new songs they’ve learned to play, and they will have the time of their life.
